Chilly day for a cross-country run in Monroe, WA
Was looking forward to seeing the greener side of Washington this past weekend and was not disappointed. Other than the hour and half wait due to me getting there too early the event was actually pretty good. I had to navigate through uneven terrain, go through knee deep mud, and balance a jogging pace across big pebbles uphill. There was even some areas with hardtop surfaces and plain gravel. Overall the course was interesting enough that I didn’t notice the distance go by as I finally reached the end and climbed up and over a giant rope net A-frame and jumped over the flaming finish line.
